Meeting with our volunteers

2021.09.27.

On the last weekend of September, we organized a meeting for our volunteers working on the project. The two-day event was hosted by the Kunszentmiklós-Kunbábony Civil College, where our volunteers could learn about the history of the project, the results of the current LIFE project, as well as future plans, project participation opportunities, and insights into database operation in which we also receive a lot of voluntary help. Borbála Szabó-Major gave an interesting presentation on the actions implemented by the Duna-Ipoly National Park. Endre Sós presented the role of the Budapest Zoo and Botanical Garden and the veterinary work they do every day.

The program continued the next day at the Hungarian Meadow Viper Conservation Center and on a nearby habitat, where participants were introduced to the operation of the center, and the radiotelemetry method used to track released vipers.
